Lessons and Dress Code


Students will be required to wear a specific dance outfit to class. This outfit may possibly be used for the Recital. A uniform will promote a non-competitive atmosphere and ease of movement.

Step
Level I:
• short sleeve red nylon leotard
• matching red skirt
• black cotton dance tights
• black tap shoes
Level II:
• short sleeve navy nylon leotard
• matching navy skirt
• black cotton dance tights
• black tap shoes
Level III:
• short sleeve violet nylon leotard
• black jazz pants
• black tap shoes
Level IV:
• tank burgundy leotard
• black jazz pants
• black tap shoes
Level V:
• camisole black top
• same style salmon top
• black jazz pants
• black leather (not patent) tap shoes
Adult I & II:
• black tap shoes

Ballet*
BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dance) syllabus followed.
Starlite I & II:
• pink short sleeve cotton leotard
• pink cotton dance tights
• pink ballet slippers
• pink chiffon skirt
Pre-Primary Ballet:
• tank white lycra leotard
• pink cotton dance tights
• white chiffon skirt
• pink ballet slippers
Primary:
• tank lilac cotton leotard
• lilac chiffon skirt
• pink dance tights
• pink ballet slippers
Teen/Adult:
• camisole or tank black leotard
• pink footed or adapt-a-toe dance tights
• pink ballet slippers
• pointe shoes upon approval of teacher
* All ballet students must have hair pulled back away from face and in a bun

Tap
Level I:
• leotard (color TBA)
• black jazz pants or dance skirt
• black tap shoes
Level II:
• tank or camisole leotard (color TBA)
• black jazz pants or dance skirt
• black tap shoes

Hip Hop
Level I and II:
• either black jazz shoes, dansneakers or gym slippers
• black jazz pants and any color leotard
• no jeans, cords, or other restrictive streetwear
