Welcome to the Maureen Fraser
School of Dance website!

This dance year will consist of two sessions. The two sessions for 2008/2009 will run from September to December (Fall) and from January to May (Winter/Spring).

Students will be placed in a class according to age and level of ability.

Students will be expected to make every effort to attend all their classes. It is difficult to make progress without the continuity of regular attendance.

Students only are permitted in the dance room, due to limited space and to prevent distraction. Parents may wait for their child in the adjoining waiting room. Parents will have an opportunity to view their child's class at the end of the first session, in December.

Food is not permitted in the waiting room or dance studio. Students may bring a drink for their break.

When school is cancelled due to inclement weather, dance class will also be cancelled. Makeup classes will be added on at the end of either session. Cancellations will be announced via a message left on the answering machine at C & M Dance Supplies (phone: 863-1731), and on our website here.

Our Annual Recital will be held May 17th, 2009. The recital showcases all the students.

Parents/guardians are asked to parallel park on each side of the driveway when arriving and departing with students. This will prevent traffic congestion.

Fundraising

We are pleased to announce that this year's fundraising efforts will be directed towards the production of recital props and costumes. Upon registration, students will be given variety packs of chocolate bars to sell; however, students will have the option to pay $30 in lieu of participating in fundraising obligations.

Musical Theatre

This class is offered to students ages 7 and up. The classes will be held on selected Sundays throughout the dance year (a schedule will by handed out).

A vocal coach will guide students through the process of basic voice training. Along with this, students will learn some choreography and acting through ensemble work.
